Why Tapioca?

When we researched all possible food grade flours to use in our pure formula, we considered the popular natural baby powder alternative to TALC which is cornstarch. We were fascinated to learn that Tapioca Flower looks finer under a microscope than the rough appearance of cornstarch. Further research demonstrated that Tapioca looks like small fine balls that glide smoothly. We also could not rule out a gluten content in cornstarch to Tapioca was a triple star rating for us when we understood it was a gluten free flour.

Why are no preservatives used in your Baby Products?

So many baby products have unnecessary additives and preservatives. Our ingredients are chosen for their natural stability and we only purchase in Australia where Australian Standards are applied for your safety. All ingredients are extremely stable in themselves so do not need synthetic additives. The very name preservative indicates is essential to have a preservative but this is not always the case . Any extra ingredients other than what is necessary just increases a new baby exposure to unnecessary ingredients. We are so proud to have 4 simple ingredients that are certified organic and absolutely no hormone disrupting chemicals

Are these products safe to use on a newborn? Yes. Only use a tiny amount as Newborns do not need a lot of products. They are pure humans so the longer you take to expose them to any product is a good thing. Use sparingly so you get great value from our baby products, you will be surprised how they all go a long way if you use sparingly. Less is More is our general guideline.

Glass Packaging is the safest packaging for your baby. Amber Glass is specifically chosen to protect the organic purity of the ingredients as amber helps block light from entering the jar. There is sufficient questioning about the safety of plastic packaging due to potential leaching of BPA, BPS and other potential hormone disrupters. This risk seems higher than worrying about whether glass will break. We have never had a report of a glass breakage. We all buy food and drinks in glass packaging and this does not prevent us buying them. The concern is valid but rarely an issue in reality. We think the safety reasons for using glass out way any issues over whether they would break and hope you agree.
